The seventh edition of Samsung's phablet series, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is now just around the corner, and is expected to be unveiled on 2nd of August. From the past few days there have been rumors about the screen size and device specifications, though many of them have been confirmed or denied, giving us a clearer shape of how the device will look like and what will it have on board.
The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is said to have a 5.7 inch, Super AMOLED, QHD resolution screen which gives a per-pixel density of 515 pixels per inch and is toughened by Corning's Gorilla Glass 4. While it is rumored that the device will have a curved display.
The processor department of Samsung Galaxy Note7 includes two chipsets for different countries, one model includes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 823, while the other model is packed with Samsung's own Exynos 8893. The memory department provides 64/128/256 GB storage (model dependent), and 6 gigs of RAM. While the option of a microSD card is also available that comes as a dedicated slot in single SIM model while using the SIM2 slot in dual SIM model.
Other features of the device include 12/5 megapixel cameras for rear and front with 1.7mm aperture, while the rear camera can record video in 4K. The device is IP68 certified against water and is dust proof. While Samsung's feature for payments to rival against Apple Pay has also been introduced. The device includes heart rate sensor, SpO2, fingerprint scanner, and Samsung's much anticipated Iris scanner. The device has a USB 3.1 Type C reversible convertor and is powered by a 3600 mAh battery.
Though Samsung has been a name in phablet category and has ruled over the department for quite some time, but now the competition has gotten tougher with serious contenders like Apple's iPhone Plus, and Huawei's Mate phablet series. Now it is to be seen that how well will Samsung Galaxy Note7 stand against the rest of the competition.
